Unfortunate Redemption

NaPoWriMo Day 5

My life craved a constructive meaning

Break through needed from a motley prosaic

Awaiting a kindling of cure and healing

          Incandescence deprived, emotionally archaic

They engaged my demons

Indulged my questions, promised new prisms

I encountered friendship, connections became my beacon

My parents, at the other side of the schism

Reinstatement was no longer an option

Radically infused spirits had bled my passion

Their potent purpose tested my finesse to shoot without caution

Slaughtering my core, a consistent hammering distraction

30 rounds I shattered into my heart, my legacy the deadly Assault rifle, it’s magazine

Ending my fate as a carnage machine, Ending my life as a wolverine

I am a management professional by job classification and a work practitioner by personal preference. One poetry collection - Shelling Peanuts and Stringing Words and a chapbook, Crushed Anthills. Always gathering poems, and letting them marinate and change shape and form.

  1. Most of us live in illusions but try to seek reality in its midst
A new prism attracts ,it sparkles beautiful colours but Eventually its transcience dawns
On the soul of a poet
    And
the result is a beautiful piece of literature
Very very subtle thought process Love you papa
