Mother of mine

Be determination

born of steps deliberate

tender force engulfs us

Warm hands cusp my storms

she saves chestnuts under her pillow

I borrow my goodnight calm

She is quilting fierce

circles like orbits, relentless colors

I devour each touch dew like

Reluctance never her

forward onward upward teaches

mystery leaves more to seek

I am a management professional by job classification and a work practitioner by personal preference. One poetry collection - Shelling Peanuts and Stringing Words and a chapbook, Crushed Anthills. Always gathering poems, and letting them marinate and change shape and form.

  1. Mystry leaves more to seek -beautiful -you are indeed a seeker and am sure more thoughts
    about your mothert shall flow.
    Love you papa
