few of my favorite things

4D8E89D1-9D25-42A6-8D1A-4D3E70A1511DRaindrops on roses

watch the Jonathan Livingston Seagull sitting spine to spine with The Thornbirds

whiskers on kittens

tease back my urge to Kill a Mockingbird

warm woolen mittens

carelessly thrown beside the curled edges of Sophie’s Choice

brown paper packages

opened to reveal a tumble load of The Godfather, hard bound

these are a few of my favorite things

forever leaving me exploring The Eye of The Needle

blue satin sashes

sway and swing behind Heidi like dresses

snowflakes that stay on my nose

a post Halloween spin off from the Frankenstein

winters that melt into spring

reminders of the stained pages from the Summer in Paris

these are a few of my favorite things

as I pick a throw and lay back with my Huckleberry Finn

  1. Winter that melts in to spring — hope and a positive attitude sustain us when our
    Spirits are down
You are indeed a poet of Hope

  2. Wow superb write 🙂 I was frequently getting distracted as I just couldn’t stop myself singing the song… Oooh I love this song ❤ Thank you so much for reminding me this song, making me sing and for the lovely poem you have penned.. ❤ Singing again…. 😉 😛
    "Raindrops on roses
    And whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things"…..
